Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board has been selected as one of 13 states in Nigeria to benefit from the groundbreaking Results-Based Financing - Early Grade Reading (RBF-EGR) project. This pioneering initiative, spearheaded by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), aims to enhance reading abilities in school children in Primary 1 and 2, marking a significant milestone in the Nigerian education sector. The project's first phase will be implemented in the selected 13 states, including Plateau State. This collaborative effort seeks to promote literacy and educational advancement among young Nigerians. Today, October 3, 2024, the Executive Chairman of Plateau SUBEB, Hon. Sunday Amuna, represented by Pastor Michael Gowon, Director of Planning Research and Statistics and coordinating Director of the EGR programme, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Abuja, solidifying the partnership.
